H1B Stamping and Extension

Hi,

I have below questions regardig my H1B Visa and Extension:

1. My current H1B Petition is valid till Sep 30 2013. I have Visa also until same date Sep 30 2013. I am planning to go to India in July. How many days before my Visa expires, should I be back tto United States. I am planning to come back by August 18th 2013 ( about 42 days before visa expiry). Is that fine?

2. Also, my current employer is applying my H1B extension and I am very hopeful that I will have a approved H1b Extension, before I go to India in July. Will it make any difference if I have a h1B extension approved and plan to come back by August 18th 2013, where my current H1B visa is valid till Sep 30 2013? I am concerned about any issues that I might come across in POE, if I come only 42 days before my Visa expiry?

3. When I go to India in July, can I attend Visa interview for the H1B Extension, even though my current H1B Visa is valid till Sep 30 2013. Is there a rule that we cannot go for Visa Stamping, if we already have a Valid Visa? If not, how many days before our current visa expires, can we attend Visa interview for the extension?
