I'm currently working with company A with L-1 status. And the petition is going to expire in June. As a result, company A applied the H1 petition. It's already approved but won't be effective until June. Now I'm interviewing with company B. My question is, if I get an offer from company B and they are willing to port my H1 petition. Do I need to wait until June to start work in company B? Can they port the H1 petition before its effective date and allow me to work immediately?
