  • COS H1 to H4 approved, but still in H1 payroll

    Hi,

    I got my COS approved from H1 to H4 two weeks back. I submitted my resignation through mail (I am working remotely, so I never go to office) in my current company after the COS got approved. But my current employer is still processing my separation formalities and I am still getting paid, in spite of informing that I applied for COS and it got approved. I even received a paycheck for the two weeks after my status changed to H4. Is this legal? What should I do in this scenario? I work for a solution provider company. Please advise.

    Thanks in advance.

    return that paycheck

    Hi
    you should return that paycheck as soon as possible

    Also you should request them to stop tax deduction , benefits , insurance too.

    Otherwise you have to pay tax , insurance after quitting job

      As long as you have stopped working and have evidence of that, you should be fine.
      This is my opinion and not legal advice.
