I-94 extension

I transfer my h1b visa from company A to B last October 2012 and recently I visited India for a vacation. During my return to United States at POE the immigration officer didn't ask me about my transfer at all and gave me I-94 card with company A visa expiry date i.e is aug 2013 , but my new I 797 which was filed by company B has an expiry date as Jan 2014.

Now I want to extend my I-94 upto Jan 2014 without leaving United States ??? Please let me know the procedure??

First visit the CBP deferred inspection post at a nearby international airport. Check cbp.gov
They may be able to correct the I-94 for you.

If that does not work you have two options,
1. Your employer can file amendment to extend your status.
2. You can leave the US and return to get a correct I-94.
