    h4 to h1 conversion

    My wife is currently on H4 in the US and had applied for H1 visa through a US based firm.
    She was selected through the lottery process and we are waiting for her approval notice.
    My question is if her approval notice comes through do we need to complete any other step before she starts working on Oct 1 2013?
    Will her status automatically change from H4 to H1 on Oct 1?
