Dear All,
Greetings,
I was appears in US Embassy with my family for H1b and H4 visa interviews on 25 Nov 2012.
My interview was good, VO also asked some questions from my wife and saw my kids.
At the end VO gave me green color 221g form for additional documents which have been provided on 20 Feb 2013.
I saw my visa status online that was as following.
Administrative Processing
Application ID or Case Number: AA00xxxxxx
Case Creation Date: 22-Nov-2012
Status Updated Date: 25-Nov-2012
But suddenly I saw my status was changed on 15 April 2013 with following.
Administrative Processing
Application ID or Case Number: AA00xxxxxx
Case Creation Date: 22-Nov-2012
Status Updated Date: 15-Apr-2013
Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.
What I mean is, they can say "several weeks", but there is absolutely no way of knowing how long my Application will really take? It could take a few weeks, a few months, or a year or two?
Regards,
Yasir
