  • H1B Stamping

    Hi all,

First of all thank you to all those people you have taken the time to post their experiences.

I finished my masters in the US and availed an OPT. I found an employment on the OPT. Then my employer applied for my H1B. I have received my H1B approval notice in the US. Now I am on the H1B status but not yet eligible for a re-entry to the US. I have taken an appt for my H1B stamping at Chennai through ttsvisas in Dec 05.
Can you please give me a list of all the documents that I need to carry along with me to the american consulate for the interview, the interview process and any tips/matters that I need to take care of.

    Thanks in advance....
    -Gita

    Hi,
You will need all documentations on educational qualifications and prior job experiences in originals alongwith all details of the present employer, your H1b package, etc., You will find a list of homepage of this site. You can also visit chennai.usconsulate.gov. One of the questions you need to tackle is the F1 to H1b shift. Your non-immigrant intent while seeking the F1 has been defeated by procuring H1b. You should be able to handle this.
