H4 Visa after the H1-B holder has travelled.

My Husband has an H1-B Visa and will be travelling to US in the next few days. However, when he had originally filed the petition couple of years back he had not included my name in the same.

If I have to travel on a dependant visa (since his duration of stay is long) what is the procedure and how much duration could it take to get dependant visa for me and my 1 yr old daughter.

Just follow the Visa application procedure at a nearby consulate. It should be very similar to the way your spouse obtained the Visa.
