Hi All,
I have lost my old and expired passport 2 months back while I was travelling back to India. My old passport has B1/B2 visa valid until 2016. I am still the same employer who processed my B1/B2 in 2006. I have my new passport which has expired L1 visa and I have an appointment for my H1 Visa on 6/10. I have already taken a police certificate for my old passport which I Lost. I have mentioned the same in DS form for H1B visa.
I have two questions:
Will the loss of my previous passport have any impact on my H1B visa interview?
Can I get the B1/B2 visa stamped into my new passport as I have lost the passport. I have soft copies of B1/B2 visa. Can anyone explain me the process to get B1/B2 stamping in my current passport. Do I need to approach the consulate with my employer or I can directly contact them for the stamping?
