from when h1b is caluated???

hello

as h1b is is given for 6 years, my hubby got his first h1b in march 2004, valid till 2007, then he change comapny and now got one new h1 approval in june 2005 valid till may 2008, now his 6 years of h1b period is counted from march 2004 or from june 2005????

As u know H1-B has given for 6 years, the countdown starts from once he enters into the USA with a valid visa. Suppose ur hubby enters into the USA with a valid H1-B visa on March 2004 then his validity will be until Feb' 2010.

Even he changed 'n' numer of companies within this 6 year period, his 6 years term will be between March 2004 - Feb' 2010 only. Don't assume that his 6 year term will be started again starting from the June 2005!!!
