need advise on chossing H1B stamping location and waiting time

I can to usa on Direct H1 with desi consulting firm after working in India for three years and I worked with this desi firm for three years and one month ago i joined as full time employee in a good American firm. Now i am planning to go for stamping. I need help on few below questions.

1) Which location should i choose ? ( India--Hyd or Canada )?

2)Some people say canada is good for the guys with Masters in USA and not for Direct H1 --is that true?

2)How long do i have to wait with the new firm before i go to stamping?

2. Consular officers in Canada may not be able to evaluate your Indian education. That's why sometimes it is recommended only if you have US education as well.

One more thing is that My employer did run my payroll when i was in training for 4 to 5 months 2010 .Will there be any problem ??
