H1b transfer from IT consultancy to another company

Hello,

I am currently working at an Indian IT consultancy firm. I have filed for the H1b and it has been approved with the H1 stamp on my visa.

I want to shift from the Indian IT consultancy to another firm (I am not sure where but I want to leave the indian IT consultancy firm).

Is it safe for me to leave the Indian IT consultancy? Will they cancel my H1b status/visa? Is it in their hands? Or can I continue my search for new jobs and find another company to transfer my H1b to theirs smoothly?
