H4 for 2 months

Hi,

H1B approved on 16th July and valid from 1st Oct.
H4 expiring on 30th July and hence applied for extension on 8th July.

Now i need H4 status only for 2 months ie., from 30th July to 30th Sep. Can I send a letter to USCIS to approve my H4 only for 2 months.
