Hi

I am currently in US on h4 visa. I have got an H1B petition approved (not stamped) after I came to US. My status becomes h1b from October 1st as my employer is planning to file for COS process.

In this situation, can i look out other job opportunities with the existing h1b approved petition? So that my new employer will take care of new LCA and also the COS process before October 1st?

Can any one please guide if this process is really feasible ?

Yes. You have to transfer your H1B petition, LCA and COS. as your H1B is with old employer, you have to apply for H1B transfer also.

But, my employer who filed for H1b has not shared any docs with me. I am having only the filing number. Can the other employer who is willing to do h1b transfer along with cos can proceed just with this filing number?

Any help on this is very much appreciated.
