Hi,
Can someone please help me with the below scenario.
Am not sure how important is the spouse's status for H1B. I will be going for my H1B stamping on 22nd Aug
My Husband just travelled to US last week for higher studies. He is on F1 Visa.
But while filling up DS 160, I have not updated my husbands details in the section where we are required to provide "Relatives in US(Blood relatives/Spouse/Fiancee)" .The reason being he was still in India when I was filling DS160.
My query is that if asked about my husband, should i tell the situation frankly or should I stick to DS 160 and not mention that he is in US and say that he is in India.
If I mention that my husband is in US, will that be considered as hiding of information since it is not mentioned on DS 160.
Would they have expected me to update ds 160.
Thanks in Adavance
