H1 transfer& extension

I'm on h1 and working through a small consulting firm(M-V-C). My visa expires on Oct20th.

My employer is ready to file the extension and asked me submit the necessary documentation.

Meanwhile i got a full time job which i'm interested in and they are ready do the visa transfer through premium processing. But they mentioned that it would take 2more weeks to file the petition.

Now my queries are:

1) will there be any problem if i file extension(normal processing) through my employer and visa transfer (premium processing) with new employer in PARALLEL?
2)when we transfer the visa does it automatically gets extended or do we need file a separate petition

Both employers can file their own petitions, those will be unrelated.

The new employer can request a maximum of 3 years.
