Hey,
I am currently on a J1 Internship which expires in Feb 2014 (Not subject to the 2 year home requirement). My employer that I am interning for want to offer me a job.
Question 1) If I do a change of status from J-1 to H-1B and remain in the US, am I correct that my H-1B would be valid until Feb 2014 the same as my J-1?
Question 2) When it comes to Feb 2014 when my J-1 (or by that time H-1B) is due to expire, do I just renew it as a H-1B and return home to the US embassy in order to get the new visa put into my passport?
Question 3) I am aware of the costs of filing for the change of status to H-1B, however, when my visa is due for renewal what is the cost at that time to renew?
