H1B cap exemption

Hi,
I have a Master's from US and H1B approval filed by employer A. Until how many years Can I take advantage of being Cap exempt. My H1B approval was valid till October 2011. I left US in March 2009 and I have been staying in India since then. Some people tell that I will be cap exempt till October 2014 and some say I will be cap exempt till I utilize all my 6 years on H1B. Please answer.

The H-1B form regarding cap exemption says you are cap exempt if you have had H-1B status in the last six years. This would mean you are cap exempt until March 2015.
