H1B Last Name Amendment and Travel
Hi,
my last name was mistakenly entered as LNU in petition document and the extension approval went through fine and i have have my Visa valid until 2016.
I noticed this mistake and asked my employer to file for H1b amendment through premium processing, which has been applied . I still havent received the case number though.
My attroney mentioned, they will fedex me the copy of the approval to India address, once they have it.
Using which I will take an appointment at the Chennai consulate for stamping.
I have an India visit scheduled this weekend(September 1st week).
Please advice,Is it ok for me to travel when my H1b has been filled for Amendment?
