Best way to find jobs in USA on H1B without personal network

Hi

I am in USA on H1B working for Indian IT company. Work wise I am ok but constant changes in locations and projects is really annoying. I think its common if you are working for Indian company.


I wanted to know what is the best way to find a new job(not Indian contractor ones) in USA if you dont have a personal network in USA. Does applying directly at companies web sites help.

I checked Monster etc and found most of the jobs are really either contractors or with unknown companies.

Please give any suggestions / tips. Will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There are many IT companies who would be ok taking you full-time (sponsoring your H1B).

Try the big names like VMware, HP (3 Par). Some smaller setups also might sponsor.

There are American consulting companies like ThoughtWorks. They sponsor H1Bs too. Do try and you will get lucky.

Personal Opinion. I am not a professional on Immigration.
