H4 Visa Mandatory Things

Hi All,

Here I want to clear 1 confusion about H4 Visa.

I married in 2008 and have 2.5 yrs kid , this year 2013 I filled H1B visa from one of US big consultancy firm.

We ( Me & my wife ) both don't have update passport after marriage like our name on each other passport and address on my wife passport. my kid has valid passport just now we got it from passport department on which parents name is mention.

I asked to my petitioner about this issue and asked shall we go & change passport detail now but they told don't go now as it will change your passport detail so before visa interview don't change any thing personal on passport thats why I stop my self for doing this , but still I have confusion , please clear me if any body has this kind experience.

We have all the Marriage Support document Like : Marriage Certificate , My wifes new voter ID Card , Ration Card.

Please reply me asap as I don't have much time for my my interview days.

You don't need to have spouse's names included in your passport.

Even if you do that and get new passports, that is fine too. It does not have to be the same as what was used during petition filing.

Thanks sir, No sir I can't go for passport update as my petitioner told it would change my personal detail so they don't want to take any risk.

Please let me know if I can go with my passport .
