H1B transfer

Hi,

I have H1B Petition valid till 01/31/2014, now I am planning to attend for the stamping in Hyderabad consulate. In case if i don’t get the visa (under 'query'). Then can i transfer the visa to another company immediately ? ( while first case under query)

Hello, Priya.

Yes. The visa stays in your name in the system. If one petition gets declined, you could file another. Until you use your 6 years of H1B. (There are some conditions of reviving H1B once you go off H1B status. i.e.: One needs to be on H1B at some time in the last 6 years to revive an unused H1B).
