I joined a company 5 months backs. The company hired me by transferring my H1-B visa. I have a very good opportunity (full time) in other employer and I would like join the new company. My existing employer is asking me money for the H1-B, he paid for hiring me 5 months back. I would like to understand from your experience and knowledge, do I really need to pay my employer the h1-b cost? I have no signed agreement about paying the cost.

As per the regulations, the H1B cost is to be borne by the Employer. However, many Desi Consulting companies regularly flout the rules and make the candidate pay for the H1B filing charges.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,These are my personal thoughts. I am not a professional.
Wishing you luck.
