Hi.
I recently received a new H1B visa (was transferring from 1 employer to another) and had to go through the medical as I had a DUI conviction. In my visa now, under 'Annotation' it says: NO PERMANENT INELIGIBILTY - does anyone know what this means please? I've searched all over google but can't find anything - permanent ineligibility is obviously a bad thing and it is my understanding that it is grounds for refusal of a visa, but this says "no permanent ineligibility" and my visa HAS been granted, so I'm confused. Anyone have any ideas please?
Also, my employer filed a petition with a 3 year validity period, why expires in 2016. However, the visa has come back with an expiration date of September 2014, i.e., only 1 year. Anyone know why that would be please? Does this mean I have to reapply/renew next year, all over again?
Thanks for any help.
Cheers
