I was on F1 visa and in May 2013 my change of status was approved for non-profit H1-B visa.
However, recently I found out that the problem is that USCIS databases are not updated and the database still reflects F1, which is now expired. After I brought this to the notice of USCIS the updating process was started. I was supposed to travel to India but they say that in the current situation it is not advisable to do so.
And now I was wondering if anyone else had this same issue and how much time will it take to update. I tried asking about time to USCIS but they say they do not know of any time frame for this.
