Query on validity of visa

Hi,

I appeared for H-1B interview this month and visa was approved.
Query: My petition is of 3 years ending in 2016, Visa approved till 2018(5 yrs).
Its contradicting with the validity of my petition.

I have mailed to [email protected], and they they replied saying that the approval and validity of visa is a sole discretion of US embassy.

Please advice

Don't worry about it.

Anyway, you will be allowed to stay only till the validity of your petition.
