H1-B VISA approved in 2008 but not stamped

Hi,
I have a H1 petition approved in 2008 but didn't attend interview for stamping.
I enquired with my receipt number in the USCIS portal and it says "Post Decision activity is pending"
Now Iam looking for opportunities in US.Can I use approved petition and apply for jobs in US?

Yes Possible provided you can get an employer for porting the H1.
