I797A original copy hold by employer

I have recently transferred my h1b from Company A to Company B. But company B has only provided me the receipt number,I94 and I797A first page photo copy and they hold my original I797 with them. Kindly answer the following queries:-

1. It feasible to transfer my h1b to company c without having I797 A original document.
2. can missing original I797 A document from employer B impact my stamping or GC in future.

Hello, Manoj.

I feel as long as you some reference number or a copy, you are fine. You need not necessarily have the original. Many employers keep the original with them for their record.
