Hi,

Currently I am in USA on L1 b visa having I-94 expires on aug 2014.
But the way years back in 2008 filed h1b with company A and went for stamping got 221g, but company A didn't respond so I didn't use that one.

Please let me know what are the possibilities for me to transfer to H1 visa . Is there any end date to transfer .

Please advice me on this please

Thanks a lot for the reply. I need small clarification in this.

If I can use within 6 years means from which date will be calculated. On my I-797 form it shows that it is valid from march 2008. Still I am
eligible ,if I am eligible when it will expire.

I need clarification on this . If I use within 6 years means from which date that 6 years will be calculated . On my I -797B form the start date it shows march 2008. Pleas let me know what is the expiry date to use this.

Hello, Reshvin.

I am not sure on the answer to this. But, since at this stage I797 is the only document you have (not the stamp on your passport), that is the only date for us to consider. If you come across an answer to this, as the dates for H1B actual working are different (October of a particular year), please do share with me as well.

If you ask me, i would like to exercise caution and not wait till October. Also, you could consider engaging an attorney for a one hour call. They charge some 100 odd dollars for an hour.
