I Got 221G Admin Processing Yellow Slip for H1B in Toronto on Oct 17 2013.

Any One in Same Boat as me ?????????
It was a simple interview with 3 question -

Who is your current Employer, Current End Client, Is this your First H1B, Who is going to be your End Client in US
No Client Letter was Asked. No Document was Asked.

VO Said - Wait for a Week. You will hear back from us. Sit Tight.
He Kept I797 and gave my PP back with Yellow Slip.

How long will the WAIT BE ??????????????

Hi can you please update what happened with your case?
I came with a friend and he got a 221g:

Appointment date: 11/18/13 1 pm
VO was a white lady. My friend and I have come to Canada from the USA previously to get H1B stamped in Ottawa 2010. I came back to Toronto in 2011 to get my H1B stamped again which was successful both times.

But this time I got approved and VO said my passport will be mailed in 3-5 days.

The conversation went something like this
VO: What company do you work for?
my friend: YYYY company
VO: What do you do?
My friend: Electrical engineer....blah blah blah
>> Started typing the verbal information spoken by my friend.
VO: Can you provide your resume?
My freind: Provided the hard copy of the resume.
VO starts typing a lot on the screen.

In short seems like some keywords that she detected in the resume are a part of the TAL list such as signals and systems a course he took in school.


Anyone can shed some light on this?
Turns out that both our cases show using the DS160 tracker here shows:

Does this mean that both our cases are put on admin processing even though the VO told me that my case is approved and my friend got a 221g? or is this just a generic status shown from the time the embassy scans the DS160.

update on 221g yellow slip.

I would like to provide an update.
11/18/2013 evening: sent email to the consulate as per VO had hand written the email on the 221g asking for the .doc format of the resume.
11/18/2013 evening: instant email back from consulate thanking for allowing them to serve us...etc... this was a system generated automatic response.
11/19/2013 noon: Custom hand written email addressing my friend thanking for submitting the documents required as per the 221g basically nothing else was checked except for details outlining field of study (masters of EE...) he had emailed degree cert of bachelors and masters, Transcripts showing classes taken, and ofcourse the resume in .doc format.

I believe she requested it because she may want to copy and paste the resume into his file.

I am doing this to give back to this community and help out others that are in a similar scenario.
