I hold a H1-B and my work permit (as well as my visa) expired on 31st Sep 2013 and my company had filed an extension on 20th July 2013. I received a I797C in July and my application is currently in "initial review" status. During this period, can I switch to a different employer if I get a job offer? If so, how long does it take for the new employer to process this change?
