Is H4 amendment required?

Hello,

My wife and two kids came to US on H4 (I was on H1) and their H4's were amended when I transferred my H1 to new employer.
Recently on 1-Oct-2013, my wife status was changed from H4 to H1.

My Question is: Do H4's of my kids require amendment now since their H4's were amended last time along with my wife's H4?


Can you please share few information?

Their H4 was tied to your H1 petition. So no changes required as your status remains the same.

Hi,

I am currently in US on H4 visa. My sponsor is filing H1B petition on my behalf.

Meanwhile my wife (H1B) is looking for a job change. (H1B tranfer).

I need to know if my wife does an H1B tranfer after my petition is filed with USCIS, will it affect my petition?

Should she wait till my petition is successfuly processed...?

Anything else we should be knowing.. please guide us.
