Need advise for taking Maternity Leave on H1B visa

Dear Team,

My wife is travelling to US on H1B soon, I have a question in mind and need your suggestion on that.

Can she take maternity leave on H1B? If yes, for how long? Would it be a paid or unpaid leave?
If not does she need to convert her status from H1B to H4? If yes, can she change it back to H1B and work again or need to apply for a fresh visa?
