H4 Processing has my VISA extension is on RFE

I am started processing H4 dependent visa for my dependents.
Before doing that i have question like my visa expires on Dec and my extension filed is on RFE. Now they are going to interview. Is they will get visa or they will have to wait unless until my visa extension is approved?

Its better to wait till the extension is approved otherwise they may be given visa as per your old petition or put under admin processing.
