L1 ->> h4 ->> h1

Hi

Greetings to everyone.
I have completed 5 years in USA on L1 in April 2013 , got married in US and changed status to H4 before I apply for H1 in Apr 2014.. Will the duration of my stay in US on H4 between April 2013 and 2014 be a problem when getting my H1 approved? I will not be employed in US during this year.

Your H4 stay shouldnt negatively impact the H1 but as you have already spent 5 years on L1, without spending one full year outside US your H1 would be approved only for 1 year.
