H1B extension approved but H4 is still in initial review

my employer filed my H1B extension together with my wife's H4 and I got to know 10 days back that my H1 extension has been approved from USCIS website, but my wife's H4 extension is still showing as initial review on the website.

Today I called USCIS to get the status of the H4 extension and the costumer executive told me to write a mail .
So i just want to know is this normal or it could be any problem.

If takes really long (3 months after filing date) your wife can follow up with USCIS about it.

Its already been 5 months of filling.only my approval came 10 days back.we mailed them after talking to customer executive regarding the scenario.
now can we do anything else or just to wait for their mail reply.
And one more thing can she travel in domestic flight without any hassle.

She can certainly travel within the US. She should just carry the extension receipt with her if her I-94 has expired.
If she leaves the US the extension application will become meaningless. She can then just obtain an H4 Visa using your approved H1 petition and return in H4 status.
