I have a H1 visa with company X. Currently, in India and still have not gone to US.

Can I get my H1 transferred to a new company from India itself?

What can be the legal/ immigration complication?

As long as you can find a genuine employer who is willing to port the H1 I don't see any issues. You would need copy of H1 approval Notice or H1 receipt from existing employer X .

Thanks Raghvi...how I can get a h1 approval notice/receipt from existing employer X. Do I need to go to US embassy again for visa stamping?
