H1B extension approved but I-94 expired

Hello,

I received notification that my H1B extension was approved on October 14th but I still have not received the I-797 from my company attorney. In the meantime, I just realized that my I-94 expired on November 7th.

I am also in the process of applying to green card since I got married to a US citizen in June.

What should I do? Am I illegally in the US?

I think you are fine. But why hasn't the approved I797 reached you in spite of approval more than a Month back? As you applied for extension before your I-94 expiry you are fine as long as the approval came in with a new I-94.
