I currently am working on an H1B visa valid till Oct 2015. I have been offered a new job, and the new employer is in the process of filing for H1B transfer. Now, i plan to go to my home country (india) after my H1B for the new employer is approved, but return to work for my old employer for a couple of weeks before joining the new employer.
My question is - When i enter US i will get an I-94 based on my old H1B since i am entering to work since i have not yet resigned from my old employer. Will i need to do anything with the I-94 when i actually join the new employer?
Also note- my new employer is going to make the effective date of the H1B transfer as the date when i am supposed to join them (which would be after returning from India), so does that mean the I-94 with the approval notice with the latest effective date will take precedence ?
