When does 6 years count down start for H1B stay
H1-B renewal question with different condition.
Question : When does 6 years count down start for H1B stay? Is it once I reached US or I got my first I-797?
More detail on my case.
My Company “A” got H1B petition processed and I got all document in the Oct 2009 but I did not go to consulate to get visa stamped these documents got expired on oct 2012.
After that Company “B” got I-797 renewed with premium processing based on my older expired I-797. And I am in USA now for last 8 months and my H1B visa expires on 15 oct 2015.
My question:
As H1b is renewed only once in that case will I be eligible to get my visa renewed after oct 2015? or I can not get my H1 renewed since my H1B is approval has already completed 6 years.
