H1B valid thru Oct 2014 and Planning for India visit in May 2014

Hi,

I have travelled to US for the first time in my H1B during Nov 2013 and my visa is valid til mid of Oct 2014.

I have a plan to visit India during May 2014 and return back after a week of stay there.

I have heard that I need to go for stamping if travel falls within 6 months of visa expiry period.

Please let me know whats is the procedure if I travel during May 2014 to India.

Will this create any problem of my entry into US since I will not hold 6 month valid visa by then or my extension is filed?

I don't think there is any issue. Yes, you would most probably get I94 only till OCt 2014, in which case you would have to apply extension.
