Applying for H1B while H4 visa is under extension

Hi All,

Currently I am on an H4 visa which is under extension. I have got an employer who is ready to sponsor an H1B visa for next year (April 2014). Is it possible to apply for an H1B while my H4 extension is pending?

Yes, it is possible, the H1 anyhow will not start before 01-Oct-2014 by then H4 decision would come.
