Does H1 transfer receipt (NOT Approved I797) to new employer allow person to join

Hi,

Kindly let me know if just a receipt acknowledging a H1 transfer to a NEW employer allows a candidate to start working with the new employer till petition is actually approved or I should wait till H1 is actually transferred

What are the risks??

Is that transfer petition applied on Premium? It is always advisable to join the employer once it is get approve and it will help you to keep the status intact.

Transfer is being applied through normal process (not premium). Is that legally permitted to join till petition is being transferred

Its not illegal, but its safe to join only after the approval. Because if for some reason the transfer gets denied you risk going out of status.
