Travel to India 3 weeks before VISA Expiry Date

Hi,
My H1-B visa is expiring on 25-Apr-2014 and I have approved extension until 2016.
I am traveling to India in March end and traveling back on 07-Apr-2014.

Can I enter the US with 3 weeks left on my stamped VISA but with approved extension until later?
Did anyone else had similar scenario?

Technically you are allowed to do so. But off late we have been hearing that folks are given I-94 only till the visa stamped date rather than the extension petition date, if that happens you will have to file another extension upon return as you would be given I-94 only till 25-Apr-2014.
