Changing DS 160 after Visa Appointment Scheduled

I need to renew my H1B visa and have already submitted DS 160 form and also taken visa interview appointment at New Delhi consulate. Now I need to make some changes to DS 160, my understanding is that I can create a new DS 160, submit it and update new confirmation number in “Update profile” link on visa appointment site. Is that correct? If I do that, will I get a new appointment confirmation that shows new DS 160 bar
code? do I need to carry old DS 160 or appointment confirmation also for visa interview?

In this case, We have to fill the DS-160 again and call the consulate and request them to update the DS-160 confirmation number, so that we do not need to reschedule the scheduled appointment.
