Docs are with Consulate but not in administrative processing

Hi All,

I attended alog with my wife and kids for H1B visa stamping on Nov 20th 2013... after the interview the VO told me that she will need to review the documents and come back... all this while I was thinking that my case is in administrayive processing but then when I called up the DoS yesterday they said that my case is not put in for administrative processing... the DoS rep also said that the consulate will directly come to me... Did anyone have faced this peculiar situation? Seniors and experts please do help me with this and any information / advice you can give me... its been 2 months and the docs are still with the consulate only

Did u get any response from the consulate?

I went to Delhi consulate for interview on 14th Jan, VO keep my PP and I797 and said they will get back to me after reviewing my case, then after a day they asked 3 set of documents under 221g over an email. I have submitted the documents on 22nd Jan. But, I can see status as "Admin Processing" with last update as of 14th Jan in CEAC website. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Do you know any other site where I can check the status based on UID(case number) given by VFS team?

Hi Harry,

I am glad that in your case there is a progress and they have asked for 3 sets of documents... in my case since the day I went to interview there is no change or communication till date... its been more 2.5 months and I am still waiting to hear from them

Hi Sanjay

They did emailed me again and asked another set of documents(8 items), which I submitted in a week. since then the last updated date is changed 3 times... Right now, it is 13-2-2014. Also, I got a call from US Embassy at delhi today asking where is my PP and mentioned my Visa is issued and I will get it shortly. So, I believe I will get email/website updates very soon to pickup my PP with stamped visa.

What's your current status?
