Entering on H1 2 months before H1 renewal start date.

Hi,

My current H1 stamping expires in April end and I have received my H1 extension starting from April mid. I need to travel international in February entering US in February end. Would I have any issues re-entering on current H1 stamping with new I-797 starting from Mid April?

No issues. Also, upon re entry, you should seek an I-94 as per the new petition.

Hi Raghvi,

Thanks for your response. Do you mean to say I should get I-94 stamped till the end of my H1B renewal period even though renewal I-797 is valid from April mid and I would enter in Feb mid on my current Visa and I-797 which expires in April end?
