I-797B (petition) Valid till 2015, H1B visa and I94 expires in 2014??

Hi All,

I'am in a situation wherein my i797 is valid till Sept 2015, but my H1b visa on my passport and I-94 which i got on my entry to US are expiring in Sept 2014.
Do i need to file for visa extension or i can just get my i-94 extended?

Please advice on this urgently. Thank you in advance!!

While in US you can get an extended I94 by filing form I539. Extended visa you would get only at a consulate outside US.

Hi Raghvi,

I got i94 date valid date till 2014, as my H1b visa is also stamped upto 2014. My passport is valid till 2016 and petition is valid till 2015.
