H1B extension from India

Is there a way I can do my H1B extension when am in India.
My visa got expired on Dec 2013, so i returned to India, i have spend only 3 years of my H1B in US , is there a way to process my H1B extension from India now.

Yes, You can and your petition may get approve as consular process and you need to go for stamping if your current VISA stamped on your passport expired.

Can a company in US hire a person who is in India of the above condition and how long will it take to get the visa processed through consular process?
