H1B visa port of entry question

Hi,

I have H1b visa starting from Jan 2014 and my employer is in PA.
Am planning to visit CA 1st during March 2014 so CA will be my port of entry and not PA.
Will this be an issue ? What are the questions i may come across during port of entry ?

FYI: my employer says they will issue letter stating i will fly to CA and then report to work at PA.

POE doing in CA to visit my sis family but work permit is for PA.

Not an issue at all. Even if any questions arises at POE, you can very well show the ticket to PA.

I am not booking ticket now to PA .. local ticket I can buy that later in US.
if I don't have PA ticket then is an issue is it ? do I need to buy one nowitself but I will have employer letter to report in PA.
